Stories of Faith & Strength
Thrive Fitness RVA is more than just a place to train. It's a launching pad to grow stronger, deepen your faith, and encourage one another. These women's stories offer a glimpse of how that growth extends into relationships, service, and a more rooted identity in Christ.

Tonya
Turning a longtime calling into action
For years, Tonya felt a calling to write but hadn’t yet taken the next steps. This past year, she began putting that calling into action: she created a writing group at her church, where five women signed up to participate, and launched a website and brand for her blog.
Tonya’s story is a reminder that a purpose we’ve carried for years can begin to take shape when we take the first step and it also reflects her desire to walk in obedience with the Lord.
Ali
Faith that leads to courage and service
Ali has put her faith into action by creating a ministry at her church to support single mothers. Her faith in God has also given her the courage to leave her second job to be more present for her son, Johnny and places her trust in the Lord that he will provide.
Her story reflects how faith can shape both the ways we serve others and the choices we make for our own lives.

Zonia
Bridget
Taking what she learned into a season of caregiving
When Zonia’s father needed support during rehabilitation after a kidney transplant, she flew to Chicago and spent a month and a half caring for him. She says she drew on what she had learned through Faith & Fitness and Danielle’s instruction as she supported him through his recovery.
Zonia’s story reflects how the lessons and encouragement women carry from class can stay with them through demanding seasons of life.
Lisa
A rhythm of strength, together
Lisa’s steady attendance and motivation have helped her build strength and make meaningful progress toward her fitness goals. Friday classes have also become part of a rhythm she and her husband share: they now work out together several times a week.
Lisa says their relationship feels better than ever.
Her story is a reminder that the habits we build around caring for ourselves can reach beyond the workout and into everyday life.
